Grand rising,

This morning I have been called to recognize, in the spirit of all my brothers and sisters, the Fool—the innocence that we all managed to protect during our darkest nights. What a miracle we all are. What a divine miracle it is that we made it this far with our hearts intact. This was no accident.

And though you may feel you are now too cautious to find yourself in the innocence of the Fool, I hope you nurture that aspect of yourself today. I hope you remember how that inner child saved you—if you are like me, on more than one occasion.

I have come to see that innocence as the mustard seed of the teachings of the Christ. That light I remember coming here with, fully equipped, yet so heavily attacked. In some of my darkest times, I would picture myself as a child, and the images I could conjure would inspire me to gather myself and keep going. Sometimes I was so lost that I did not know whether I would make it out of the shadow with any parts of me worth saving.

But we did, didn’t we—you beautiful souls, you. We made it out, and we made it out whole, souls intact and ready to forge ahead in the name of the Most High Central Sun.

May we all find a moment today to be the Fool—at least a moment to nurture that aspect of our spirit. It is the brightest, shiniest part. The part that remembers how to laugh with the whole being. To play. To just be.

Let us reflect that knowing today, friends.
