A Message from the Herbiary
Rosemary asks that we recognize this is a time to remember—the self within the whole.
She can ease remembrance by softening sharp edges, or she can dredge up the distant past, pulling on your DNA to bring forward the longing of lineage.
The past is encoded in all of our cellular memory.
So let us sink into the knowledge that already exists deep in our bones, and allow memory to rise up from the bodies of our beings.
Sister Aspen asks that we remember we are one living, breathing organism.
From the macro to the micro, we mirror one another in the infinite symphony of this experience.
Though to our eyes the aspens appear as individuals, deep underground they hold hands. In their roots and in their hearts, they are one.
When you see an aspen quivering, it is often with laughter. She giggles gently at the human race, who seem to have forgotten that deep in their roots, they too are one.
So let us root into our sense of connection, that we may release our fears.
Sister Oat asks that we find stillness within the chaos. She invites us to stop grappling endlessly with our thoughts and to return to presence—together.
As Sister Oat softens and sings to the wind, so too must we soften and sing to one another,
that we may once again know the truth of this one precious, holy moment.
Sister Lady’s Mantle reminds us that we are protected and safe to move forward—away from the dark happenings of the past.
She knows the soul is whole and that there is integrity in the spirit of the collective now rising to meet its destiny.
She asks that we face our collective traumas head-on, together, and with grace. That we recognize the bravery and fortitude in every brother and sister, and never lose faith in one another.
It is time to integrate the knowledge of our initiations into collective understanding,
so that we may move forward without repeating the same mistakes.
Sister Mullein asks for this integration and helps bring multifaceted understandings into alignment. We must recognize the deeper patterns affecting both the individual and the collective, so that we may heal them together.
There is no more time for bypassing responsibility. We must all take it. Even willful ignorance must be recognized as a disease.
Collective, we must stand up for one another—but we must also take responsibility for what we have allowed to continue here.
It is time to rise up.
I love you.
